Ludi transforms from a solo instrumentalist to a leader of a six-piece ensemble—and anything in between.
A wide variety of styles are available; featuring Jazz, Swing, and Popular Classics. Ludi’s range of vocal styles include ballads, scat singing, wing, raga, seasonal, jazz and rhythm & blues.
Instruction

Private Instruction — A creative approach to instruction in piano, trombone and voice; jazz theory, composing and arranging.

Custom-designed Wedding Ceremonies — Add the magic of intention to your ceremony with Ludi’s talents. Unique instrumentation available for any event, utilizing gong, Australian didjeridu, conch shell, tamboura, Balinese rangtang, voice and piano.
Concerts, Private Parties, Birthdays and Anniversaries — Ludi has 40 years of experience as a professional musician, composer and educator. He will bring artistry, sensitivity and warmth to your special occasion. The music will be specifically tailored to your needs; songs may be composed or arranged for the occasion.

Freelance

Ludi has been involved in recording since 1967 when he did a session on trombone with an R&B band in St. Louis. Other groups and projects have included pop singer Michael McDonald, blues guitarist Bill Scholer, NPR Radio (an all-original soundtrack for a one-hour documentary, writing and performing on piano, trombone, and percussion).
Other sessions include a double CD of poet Gary Snyder’s epic, “Mountains and Rivers without End,” and live concert performances with saxophonist Randy McKean of the Nevada County Composers Cooperative and Col. MaCaw concert series.
